Do I really want to share your xbox experience? Do you want your music drowned out by my food processor? Who wants to do homework with Adele lamenting her latest breakup all over the place? (That woman’s a mess. On a similar note, while not a tech thing, I think open floor plans will decline a bit in popularity. Or projecting from one device onto a wall, if we really want that common view the odd time. BACKUP CAMERAS TV(We just keep the big TV on NPR or PBS in case the neighbours are peeking in.) I also see a day when, even when we want to watch communally, we sync up our iPads and each watch it, albeit in unison, from our corner of the room (no need to all be facing the same way). So, tween goes upstairs and watches Justin Bieber, son goes gaming, Mom watches HGTV in search of more bland granite counter-topped interiors, and dad watches news and sports. The idea of the family gathered around one black box is already dying, as everyone’s tastes are so varied that little is agreed upon. What I think will die (although it will be a good 10 years or more) will be the TV. It would be helpful to easily move them about for certain tasks. I’d like to see table and desk lamps become wireless too. What I hope will die sooner rather than later are all the wires all over the place. BACKUP CAMERAS CODEFor ease of memory, a childhood address is the code - not from the side of the family with the addict, though! cat=3,41399,41403 BACKUP CAMERAS MANUALAlthough it is digital, the safe does have a manual key and a battery-operated back up auxiliary pack for getting in if the internal battery dies. We keep money, unused credit cards, and my pain meds and the dog's pain meds and dog's phenobarbital in the safe. If we remodel, I will have the carpenter work the magnetic latch into the design. I would use one latch at the top, and another at the bottom of the wall mirror. I would recommend it as a great way to hide a safe, however! If they just think your mirror is firmly attached to the wall, no one will find the safe behind it. BACKUP CAMERAS HOW TOI have tried to use a Magnetic Secret Latch system (below) to make it impossible to open the mirror, but I cannot figure how to make it work in my configuration. My carpenter then hid it behind a mirror using a piano hinge that is not really visible from the front at all. It is screwed into the wall studs from inside the safe. We have installed a $300 wall safe in the spot where a medicine cabinet used to go. Pounded or dropped enough, they just fall apart. I learned that the fire safes are useless for this. I have had addicted friends or family members steal meds from my home and my stepmother also lost meds this way. No one has mentioned what I believe is (or will soon be) the most common reason for needing a safe - prescription medications. It would be nice if people paid more attention, especially to their children, but obviously you can't count on that. Needless to say I'll be paying much more attention to the backup camera. These little kids - an entirely different story. I'm often dumbfounded by adults who walk right in front of moving cars or behind those that are backing out of a parking space. I didn't stop and say anything though I did stop a ways away because I was so shaken by the experience. I looked around for an adult/parent and saw someone loading/unloading something in the back seat of a vehicle about sixty feet away talking at these children. Had I not looked at that camera I'm sure I would have hit them. OMG - there were two small children (maybe 4 years old) right behind me. Last thing I did as I was backing out, while moving, was to look at the screen. So today I'm backing out of my space at Aldi - looking around to make sure no cars or people are coming. So with the bigger screen I look at it more but to be honest after so many years of driving without one I still look around more when I'm backing up than looking inside my car at a screen. That was so small I didn't really use it much. My last car had a small picture on a section of my review mirror. In January I got a 2020 vehicle that has a backup camera that displays on the screen.
